Chatport is a Chrome extension that lets you pick messages in a claude.ai chat and export them to Markdown, Text, Image, Word, or PDF, or copy them. This policy explains what the extension accesses and what it does with it.
Chatport does not collect, store, transmit, or share your data with the developer or any third party. Everything happens inside your browser.
What Chatport accesses
- Conversation content on claude.ai. When you export or copy messages, Chatport requests the current conversation from claude.ai's own API, using your existing signed-in session. This is the same data your browser already loads when you view the chat.
- The
lastActiveOrgcookie on claude.ai. It is read only to choose which of your claude.ai workspaces to request the conversation from. - Your Chatport settings. These include filename and Markdown templates, speaker labels, date format, download folder, and on/off toggles.
What Chatport does with it
- The conversation is converted into the file format you chose, entirely on your device. The result is saved through Chrome's downloads, or placed on your clipboard when you choose Copy.
- Settings are stored in
chrome.storage.localon your device. They are not synced through your Google account. - Chatport does not keep a copy of any conversation after the export finishes.
What Chatport does not do
- It sends no data to the developer, to any server operated by the developer, or to any third party. The only network requests it makes are to claude.ai, to fetch the conversation you asked to export.
- It contains no analytics, telemetry, advertising, or tracking.
- It does not load or execute remote code. All libraries are bundled with the extension.
- It does not sell or transfer user data, and it does not use or transfer data for purposes unrelated to its single purpose of exporting your chats, or to determine creditworthiness or for lending.

Your choices
You can remove your settings at any time by clearing the extension's data or uninstalling it. Chatport only reads a conversation when you start an export or copy.
Third-party services
Your use of claude.ai is governed by Anthropic's own terms and privacy policy. Chatport is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic.
Changes to this policy
If Chatport's data handling changes, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date revised before the change ships.
